Paul House – Managing Director, India and Sri Lanka Paul has been appointed Managing Director for India in 2008. He joined SGS in 2002 as the Chief Financial Officer for South Eastern Asia & Pacific. Prior to joining SGS, Paul worked for 8 years as Senior Manager in the Business Consulting division of Andersen. He has vast experiences in the Minerals, Healthcare and Government sectors across Australia, Africa, Asia, the Middle East and America. Paul then worked as the Chief Operations Officer for B Digital, a telecommunications company in Africa before joining SGS. He holds a Bachelor Commerce degree from the University of Western Australia.
Tushar Karnik Chief Finance Officer A qualified Chartered Accountant, he joined SGS in 1996 as Accounting Manager and was the Divisional Manager, Finance in 2000. Presently, he is the Chief Finance Officer of SGS India.
Ashok Gujar Human Resources, Director Holds a Masters in Human Resource Management and has a long experience in the field of Human Resources at corporate level in various industries linked to Industrial, consumer and textile products and services. He has joined SGS in November 2005 and is based in Mumbai.
Jose Sebastine Country Manager - India - Trade Assurance Services Business Director - Industrial Services Joined in 1986, he is currently the Country Manager -Trade Assurance Services for India and also heading Industrial Services in India as Business Manager He holds Bachelor Degree in Science and Master of Business Administration. He also holds Post-Graduate Diploma in International Trade conducted by Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi.
Sudesh Kumar Business Director – Consumer Testing Services Dr. Sudesh Kumar is Business Manager Consumer Testing Services for SGS India, based in Gurgaon. He holds PhD degree from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Dr. Kumar has senior management experience in corporate R&D and testing laboratories.

Dr. Sudhir Kumar Gupta Business Director – Agricultural Services He is a Doctorate in Dairy Science and has worked with Gujarat Co-op. Milk Marketing Federation as Manager (QC) before joining SGS in 1997. He has worked with SGS as Lab Manager in Gandhidham and later as Branch Manager for Gandhidham and Kolkata branches in India. Presently he is Business Manager for Agricultural Services.
Shivananda Shetty Business Director – Environmental Services He holds a Bachelors Degree in Science (Chemistry). He is a post-graduate in Ecology & Environment. He has also done Master of Business Administration from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, specializing in Marketing. He started his career as Chemist with SGS India Pvt. Ltd, Thane for 5 years. He served as Manager, Laboratory and Food in SGS India, Kolkata for 9 years and is presently the Business Manager for Environmental Services based in Gurgaon branch.
M. Venkateswarlu Business Director – Life Sciences Mr Venkateswarlu holds a Masters Degree in Analytical Chemistry from Andhra University,Visakhapatnam. He has Senior Management experience in corporate R&D Analytical, Quality Control and Testing Laboratories .
Shashibhushan Jogani Director – Systems and Services Certification He joined SGS in the year 2003 and worked in different positions with the Company – Financial Analyst, Business Controller, Financial Controller and currently heads the Continuous Improvement initiative for SGS India. Prior to joining SGS, Shashi worked for 4 years in Assurance and Business Advisory Services (ABAS) division of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and handled many advisory, audits and due diligence assignments for various multinational companies. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a Mumbai University topper (Bachelor of Commerce degree).
Sudhakar Yadlapalli Head – Multi Laboratories Sudhakar Yadlapalli is the Head of Multi Laboratories for SGS India since December 2008. Prior to joining SGS, he was with Vimta Labs Limited where he worked in various capacities as Associate Vice President of the Residue Lab, Analytical Manager, Group Leader and Scientist. He has rich experience in bulk drugs and testing laboratories and is an expert in trace and ultra trace analysis. He also specializes in modern analytical instrumentation and mass spectrometry. Sudhakar holds a post graduate certificate in Chemistry from Andhra University and a Bachelors degree from Nagarjuna University.
